Owner Gilberto Diaz is realizing his dream of running a successful business fueled by his desire for self-determination and an equally strong drive to serve, and provide economic opportunities in his hometown of Bloomington, Minnesota. Luro Boots is a uniquely constructed concept intended to capture the full spectrum of a fast-growing, expanding Western Wear customer base. In quadrupling his space by moving to what is projected to be a “prime” location post completion of the 494 projects, Gilberto has positioned his business for immediate and long-term success. Gilberto plans to deepen his existing strong ties in the city of Bloomington and the Bloomington community at large through an increasingly more visible role in the Economic Development department’s recruitment efforts of Hispanic entrepreneurs to the city of Bloomington. Gilberto’s vision is to migrate his Luro Boots concept to additional Minnesota communities in the next five years. Mankato, Worthington, and St Paul are among potential expansion targets.
